In tanti mi chiedono cosa voglia significare il simbolo che ho scelto come logo per caratterizzare le fragranze che faccio in modo completamente artigianale: ecco la risposta.
Volevo un logo che fosse in qualche modo legato alla mia esperienza originale, alle mie radici di chimico e di anima curiosa nell’osservare i fenomeni naturali.
Il mio lavoro, in parole semplici, è costantemente rivolto a trovare il modo giusto di miscelare sostanze diverse insieme per ottenere poi delle sostanze diverse. Prima del fenomeno chimico in se, ovvero la reazione chimica, l’osservare visualmente il fenomeno fisico di dissoluzione mi affascina sempre: liquidi con liquidi, solidi con liquidi, la dissoluzione di una sostanza in un’altra fino a fondersi in un tutt’uno da cui poi inizia la danza chimica delle molecole.

Il libro di Mandy Aftel, Essenze ed Alchimia, è per me una Bibbia: sempre li presente a dare suggerimenti silenziosi e preziosi.
All’inizio di ogni capitolo vien rappresentato un simbolo alchemico a cui viene associato il significato del linguaggio degli antichi alchimisti. Tra le tante attività, gli alchimisti erano dediti alla ricerca del modo giusto di combinare le sostanze, purificandole prima eliminando il “superfluo” per arrivare alla cosidetta “quintessenza” delle stesse.
Come i moderni chimici, avevano i loro simboli ed il loro linguaggio per descrivere i fenomeni che osservavano. Ora, al capitolo 7 del libro della Aftel è rappresentato il simbolo alchemico della miscelazione, 2 semicerchi opposti uniti da una linea...quale simbolo migliore per rappresentare la mia anima duale?scelta univoca, precisa...
tutto questo in una frase per Esperienze Olfattive:
".... Miscelare le molecole....Trovare l’odore...."

i was looking for a logo that could match someway my chemistry roots and my curious soul for observing natural phenomena.
My job, in simple words, is constantly devoted to find the right way to mix together different substances to obtain different ones. But before the chemical phenomena, the chemical reaction per se, visual observation of the physical phenomena of dissolution is something that always fascinates me: liquids with liquids, solids with liquids, the dissolution of one substance into another til the final merging in a whole, from where starts the molecule's chemical dance..

Between many activities, Alchemists were dedicated to the research of the right way to combine together substances once before they were purified, removing the surplus, the unecessary, to reach the so called “quintessence”. As modern chemists, they had their own symbols and language to describe the phenomena they observed.
So, at chapter 7 of Aftel’s book there is represented the alchemical symbol of Mixing, 2 semicircles joint by a line...what better symbol to represent my dual soul? Unambiguous and precise choice.
